The Wizard Has Found Love!

Editors of the wizarding presses! Alert your magical staff and tell them to start sharpening their quills! After centuries of surly disposition, and grumbling about ‘that meddlesome fool of a Cupid’, the Name Tag Wizard himself has at long last found love! And not a moment too soon if you were to ask any of us – every year around this time he just seemed to get progressively harder and harder to deal with.

All of us had to keep our flowers under our desks, our chocolates in drawers – he did however show some leniency with stuffed animals, but that’s only because he has such a soft spot (no pun intended okay maybe it was) for animals real or fake. For years we’ve suspected that maybe he was still carrying a torch for Mrs. Clause, or maybe he had contracted a horrible case of Grinch-Itis when he last went hiking through the Suessical Mountain Range with that talking cat and his obnoxious hat. (You didn’t know that the Cat in the Hat was a wizard?! Honestly now, how else could he have managed everything he did!)

Whatever the reason, our darling wizard finds himself in the most wretched of moods this time of year. But this year something is different. On numerous occasions he’s been spotted smiling to himself, exchanging in pleasantries with passersby’s, the other morning poor Petunia over in our engraving department forgot to hide the flowers her husband had sent her and when the wizard walked by we braced ourselves for the worst. But just what did our wizard do? He stopped and smelled them! No yelling, no screaming, no tantrums in sight. It really was most peculiar behavior for him given that it’s February. Naturally we were all very confused, but most of all we were curious. What could be the reason behind this change from traditional Valentine’s Day behavior for the wizard?

What began as whispers, grew to murmurs, and then before we knew it we were shouting with joy! Yes, at long last the wizard has found love! Okay, well maybe not love exactly, but from what we gather they’ve gone on a few dates and so far nothing catastrophic has happened! That’s a good sign! So just who is the lucky lady that’s caught our wizards eye? None other than the famed Glinda the good witch of the north!

New Year, New Travel Plans?

Happy 2015 from the Name Tag Wizard! The New Year came and went without incident in our shops, no champagne was spilled on any of our equipment and all the confetti was swept up before the Wizard returned from his mysterious New Year getaway. When he returned to our fair factories, he had managed to misplace his luggage somewhere along the way and was quite literally kicking himself for not taking advantage of all of the awesome luggage tags that we have.

Honestly, when anyone travels as much as our resident wizard friend, you’d think they would have invested in some luggage tags for this very reason. The Name Tag Wizard Meets 2015

We’re not going to lie, things get a little bit crazy here during the holidays. Over the course of those few short pre-holiday weeks, it feels as though our lasers run nonstop. Our hours may be longer, but our days seem shorter. Name tag orders come in and go out, and the wizard works overtime making sure that only the most beautiful (yes, name tags can be beautiful – they’re kind of our thing) products and designs leave our factories.

But after all the holiday parties, gift giving, and cookies, it’s safe to say that not all of us here are quite ready to let the holidays go just yet. It’s safe to say that we’ve all still got a little bit of leftover holiday fever and this year it’s getting a little ridiculous. In a way, we’re a little like Santa’s elves in that way. And speaking of Santa, what a party the wizard threw for the jolly red man this year! Reindeer and elves and all the cookies and milk anyone could handle! Well with Santa gone back up to the North Pole to start getting things ready for next year (it is a full time job you know), the Wizard will have to find a new wing man to party with. Usually around this time of year, the Wizard likes to visit Gandalf because even though he is technically retired, he still manages to keep busy. And while we don’t know for sure, we believe that together with Gandalf, the Wizard gets into all sorts of mischief and shenanigans for the New Year.

While we doubt that our 500-something year old Wizard does traditional New Year’s activities like watching the ball drop in Times Square with friends, we do know that a few decades ago he didn’t just go to a New Years Eve party, he went to ALL of the New Years parties! From London to China, the Wizard used his magic to start the New Year off with a bang!

But even though he’s off gallivanting around, don’t think for a second that the Name Tag Wizard has forgotten his customers! A Home For The Holidays

Oh the weather outside is frightful! Wouldn’t a nice warm fire feel nice to curl up in front of? Wouldn’t it be even better to curl up with someone or something that you love? Every holiday season all across the country, countless animal shelters and sanctuaries work to find homes for as many of their rescued dogs, cats, and other creatures as they can. And while no pet adoption should ever be taken lightly, the holiday season does make a great time to give the gift of love. After all, what more are pets than small little creatures that want nothing but love, attention, respect, and a roof over their heads?

Year in and year out, shelters all over the country act as half way centers for domestic dogs, cats, and other creatures in dire need of a place to stay. Santa Claus Needs The Name Tag Wizards Help!

It’s that time of the year again and Santa’s in trouble! Now the Wizard and Santa go way back – they’re old friends! There is a rumor that our own Wizard used to be a special admirer of Mrs. Clause, but that’s a story for another time and honestly he doesn’t like to talk about it. Truth be told, we think he was a little miffed when Santa came along but there are no hard feelings and the two have been known to share an eggnog or two on occasion! The truth is, that our Wizard absolutely adores those flying reindeer of Santa’s. Whether it’s because they are so magically unique or just because he likes animals, they always manage to leave a few pounds heavier than before after filling up with only the best carrots and other forms of vegetation that the Wizard can conjure up. But Santa’s reindeer needing to go on a diet is the least of jolly old Saint Nick’s worries this year.

As some of you may or may not remember, last year Santa needed name tags for all of his elves because he couldn’t keep all of their names straight. Well during the off season, things get a bit lax – sometimes the elves even wear jeans!
